NCT Conduct Policy

Please read our Conduct Policy below. By registering your child/teen for our programs, you are agreeing to these policies.

Newport Children's Theatre Conduct Policy

Newport Children's Theatre is a professional theatre company. We expect everyone in the cast to be on their best behavior at all times, and expect the cast to be committed to this production in the following ways:

 

Cast Members:

  • Please honor your commitments that you have made to this company

  • Be at all scheduled rehearsals and on time unless previously excused

  • You must let the director(s) know as soon as possible when you need to be excused from a rehearsal (not the day of).

  • Be respectful at all times - to faculty, other actors and parent volunteers (treat others with kindness, listen to your Artistic Staff by following directions, encouraging one another in the cast)

  • Lines and blocking must be memorized by the assigned date

  • Snacks and drinks are consumed only at times designated by the director

  • Cell phones & devices must be turned to silent during rehearsals, and only used when director gives the “OK.”

  • Parents are not allowed to watch rehearsals

  • Remember you represent Newport Children’s Theatre at all times. Therefore, o Be aware of your behavior online, in public, and while at rental venues.

  • This includes but is not limited to: your language, cleaning up after yourself, being respectful to other people’s property, being respectful to others’ needs, no horseplay in front lobbies or in front of Administrative Buildings

  • Remember - you represent the quality in everything we do!

 

Parents:

Please help your young actor be committed to this production by abiding to the following:

  • Get your actor to rehearsal ON TIME

  • Be ON TIME to pick up

  • Make sure your actor attends all required rehearsals (absences -with only valid/necessary reasons)

  • Run lines with your actor
